In Bryant’s words, BCG aims to “present younger and pre-teen girls of color opportunities to study in-demand abilities in technology and computer programming at a time when they are naturally thinking about what they need to be when they grow up.” By together with women, particularly ladies of color at this age, one can hope that the way forward for women in tech will naturally develop. Melinda Gates introduced the Gender Equality in Tech Cities initiative, which focuses on current women professionals in tech.According to its web site, “GET Cities is working to develop inclusive tech hubs throughout the United States.” The initiative goals to perform its objective by “constructing pathways into tech, aligning native tech and entrepreneurial ecosystems, and su pporting each quick- and long-time period change.” Gates’ initiative will kickoff in Chicago in late 2020, and eventually expand to other cities.
